On the club page click 'Add Competition'.
This is where all competition related data is entered. There is a main form and some pop-up forms which are used for adding data which are common to many competitions.
The fields are:
- Title - this is the main thing which entrants will see along with the competition date and judge
- When - the date on which the competition will take place
- Deadline - the date by which entries must be made, the cutoff is midnight UTC at the end of that day
- Judge - the name of the judge
- Competition Class - either 'one off' or 'part of a series', competition series are competitions whose scores are aggregated across competitions
- Season - A season has a name, start date and end date
- Clicking 'Add a Season' will bring up a form in which the name, start date and end date of the season are set
- Series - The name of a series, this is hidden if the competition class is one off
- Super Competition - Series can be combined into a super competition which is the results from two or more series aggregated
- Judging Scheme - How the scores are used to generate the result
- Clicking 'Add a Judging Scheme; will bring up a form to create a new sheme:
- Scheme Name - Your name for the scoring scheme
- Method - Choose either Use Scores or Use Awards, the form will change based on this selection
- Use Scores
- Maximum Score - The highest score which can be given by the judge
- Use Top n Scores - Only use this number of scores and take the highest scores for an entrants total score in series and super competitions
- Enable Winner - If ticked an entry can be assigned as the overall winner
- Award Winner an Extra Point - If ticked the winner will have one point added to the score
- Use Awards - Awards each have an associated number. If you run a league this is the images score.
- Maximum Score - If you are running a league the numbers assigned to awards are used to build the league result, so select this carefully, it can be useful to have gaps of more than one between the awards. If you are not running a league this should be the number of awards.
- Award Score n - There are two fields to fill, the award's full title and an abbreviation which is used in the tables.
- Common
- Break Ties - if ticked ties will be broken. If Use Top n Scores is set use the total of all entries by the entrant to separate them, if that fails, or Use Top n Scores is 0 then countback the number of high scores.
